About
Why MemoryPath Exists
A dementia diagnosis often raises more questions than it answers. MemoryPath was created to meet those questions with clarity, and to make sure no family has to face them alone.
What MemoryPath Is — and Isn't
MemoryPath is an educational and resource-connecting initiative. We organize trustworthy information, practical guidance, and clear paths to established organizations, so families can find real help without having to search for it alone.
We are not a hospital, healthcare provider, or research institution, and nothing on this site should be taken as medical advice. We're not here to replace the physicians, nonprofits, and specialists who support families through dementia — our role is to make them easier to find, and to make the space before that first real connection feel less overwhelming.
Where This Began
Seeing someone close to me experience dementia showed how disorienting the disease can be — not only medically, but emotionally and practically. Trustworthy information was hard to find, and knowing how to help in a way that was both practical and compassionate was harder still. That experience doesn't make me an expert on what every family goes through, and MemoryPath isn't built on the assumption that it does.
That gap between diagnosis and real support is what led me to create MemoryPath — not because I believed I had the answers, but because families deserved an easier place to begin.
MemoryPath was built to make the path forward a little clearer for families facing a journey I came to understand through someone close to me.
What We Believe
Integrity
We say plainly when evidence is uncertain, and correct mistakes openly rather than quietly.
Evidence-based
We ground every recommendation in credible, current research and established clinical practice, not assumption.
Dignity
We write about dementia, and the people living with it, with consistent respect, never pity.
Accessibility
We design first for someone who is stressed, tired, or struggling to read a screen, not as an afterthought.
Long-term commitment
We are building MemoryPath to improve over years, not to launch once and go quiet.
Collaboration
We see our role as complementing the work of physicians, researchers, caregivers, and established organizations, never replacing it.
